Edward Abbey

Edward Paul Abbey ( January 29, 1927 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, † March 14, 1989 in Tucson, Arizona) was an American naturalist, philosopher and writer, the southwestern United States dedicated to his work. His best known works include Desert Solitaire and the novel The Monkey Wrench Gang, which inspired radical environmental activists, including to the creation of Earth First! and the term " Monkeywrenching ".
