Edward Glover (athlete)

Edward Glover ( born April 23 1885 in Emsworth, Pennsylvania, † November 2, 1980 in Crown Point, Indiana) was an American athlete who was successful as a pole vaulter at the beginning of the 20th century.

However, for the years of his greatest success was the year 1906 when he wore at the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens behind the Frenchman Fernand Gonder ( gold with 3.50 m ) and the Sweden Bruno Söderström (Silver 3.40 m ) with skipped 3, 35 m BRONZE won.

After his career Glover lawyer was in Crown Point, where he was twice mayor.
