Edward Maya

Edward Maya ( born June 29, 1986, Bucharest, Eduard Marian Ilie actually ) is a Romanian singer, composer and DJ in the fields of Dance and House.

Career

Maya graduated from the Music Academy George Enescu in Bucharest and is currently a student of the graduating class at the National University of Music in Bucharest.

The age of 19 he wrote in 2006, together with Eduard Carcota for the singer Mihai Traistariu the title Tornero, the ausstach the national competition at the Romanian Trials for the Euro Vision Song Contest and finally reached the fourth place.

For the Romanian boy band Akcent 2008 he produced the album Fara lacrimi as well as the singles Stay with Me, Lover 's Cry and That's My Name, which achieved top rankings in several Southeast European countries in the charts. In 2009 he published with Stereo Love the first single under his own name, which was awarded the platinum status in Germany. So far, it could be sold over 2.722 million times. For the recording he undertook Vika Jigulina as a singer. The melody of the song Stereo Love originates from the song composer Eldar Mansurov of Azerbaijan Bayatılar.

In summer 2009, he founded his own music label Mayavin Records, but which currently has only the namesake Edward Maya and Vika Jigulina under contract. End of 2010, his third single Desert Rain was released together with Vika Jigulina on the internet. His first album The Stereo Love Show, which contains among other things, his first three singles to be published soon.
