Edward Rehatsek

Edward Rehatsek ( born July 3, 1819 in Ilok, † 1891 or 1892 in Bombay ) was an Austro- Hungarian orientalist. He was a teacher of Latin and mathematics, as well as translated literary texts from Arabic and Persian.

Rehatsek traveled in the 1840s after spending time in France and the United States to Bombay, where he worked as a teacher of mathematics and Latin at Wilson College. The activity there, he finished in 1871 and worked for the next ten years at the University of Bombay.
