Edward Sarul

Edward Sarul ( born November 16, 1958 in Nowy Kościół ) is a former Polish shot putter.

After Sarul had reached at the European Championships in 1982 with 19.19 m eleventh place in the shot put, the year the highlight of his career was 1983. On July 31, 1983 he set his personal best and in 2006 still valid Polish national record with 21.68 meters. On August 7, the final of the World Championships in Helsinki he encountered 21.39 m wide and struck Ulf Timmermann of East Germany by 23 centimeters.

After the Olympics boycott 1984 Sarul never came back into the world top. At the European Indoor Championships 1986 he was again in fifth with 19.73 m.

Sarul is 1,95 m tall and weighed about 117 kg competition times.
