Edward Skyler

Edward "Ed" Skyler (* April 11, 1973 ) is an American lawyer and politician. He has held the office of Deputy Mayor for the active effective Authorities ( Deputy Mayor for Operations ) in New York, under the January 2002 acting as Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Skyler is now the youngest incumbent in charge at this position for Police Department, Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management, Office of Management and Budget and Office of Labor Relations. He was previously Deputy Mayor for Administration (Deputy Mayor for administrative tasks) and 1995-1999 Deputy Chief of Staff and Press Officer ( Public Information Director). Under Mayor Rudy Giuliani, he was the Deputy Press Secretary, then in Bloomberg's campaign staff in a similar responsibility.
