Edwin Congo

Edwin Arturo Congo Murillo, shortly Edwin Congo ( born October 7, 1976 in Bogotá ) is a Colombian football player.

Playing career

Real Madrid

Edwin Congo began his football career at Once Caldas in his Colombian homeland. There, he scored 30 goals in 110 games, which is why the great Real Madrid became aware of him. Although he was four years at the " Royal " under contract, but did not play again for the first team. For the 1999/2000 season he was loaned to Spanish side Real Valladolid. The last years

In summer 2003, Edwin Congo Real left after his hapless commitment again. From 2003 to 2006 Edwin Congo played three years for Levante UD, with whom he once ascended from and twice. For the season 2006/2007 he went to the second division side Sporting Gijón for whom he scored 11 goals in 34 games and thus could recommend for a contract with the first division Recreativo Huelva. After only six missions, however, he had to leave after only one year, the Andalusians.

Now he plays for five -tier (regional Preferente ) Olimpic de Xativa. In this football club he scored only three goals in two games.

Internationally

Edwin Congo has 20 international matches for the Colombian national contest, where he scored a goal.
