Edwin Newman
Edwin Newman ( born January 25, 1919 in New York City; † August 13, 2010 in Oxford) was an American journalist, author and television presenter.
Life
Newman attended George Washington High School in New York City and studied at the University of Wisconsin. During World War II he worked for the U.S. Navy and after the war he worked for CBS News on the radio program and then as a freelancer for NBC as a reporter with foreign missions. From 1961 to 1984 Newman was as a television presenter on the television program NBC News for the U.S. television channel National Broadcasting Company operates. Newman also wrote as an author of several books. He was married to Rigel Grell. In 2007 he moved to Oxford to live near his only daughter.
