Eerikki Koivu

Eerikki Koivu ( born December 29, 1979 in Kokkola ) is a Norwegian- Finnish professional ice hockey player who at Lørenskog IK in the Norwegian GET - ligaen playing on the position of the defender since 2010.

Career

Koivu played during his junior time at Hermes Kokkola, the club of his birthplace. In the mid-1990s he changed in the youth department of discos Jyväskylä, which he reached in 1994 JYP Jyväskylä. There, the defender went through the B- and A- Juniors, with whom he celebrated winning the Finnish A- Junior Championship in 1997.

After his appointment as senior players, it left his hometown in 2000 Finns abroad. He spent a year at the ASG Angers in France's Ligue Magnus. Internationally

Koivu was named after his naturalization for the first time for the 2011 World Championships in Slovakia in the Norwegian national team.
