The railway bridge Eglisau (also Rhine bridge Eglisau ) is a single-track railway bridge over the Rhine in the Swiss city Eglisau. They transferred the railway line from Bülach to Schaffhausen and was built in the years 1895 to 1897 by the then Swiss Northeastern Railway for 980,000 Swiss francs. The bridge has a total length of 457 meters above the river and a height of 50 meters

The building is across the Rhine from an iron truss bridge, a 90 meters long and 9 meters high, riveted, double stand truss structure, which was supplied by the Gutehoffnungshütte. The truss bridge was equipped with a ballast after completion trough. The assembly lasted five months and made about a third of the total cost. In addition to the central part are on the right side of the Rhine twelve brick warehouses with limestone arches the vault of which each has a clear width of 15 meters have. On the left side of the Rhine, where the viaduct is curved in plan, are nine stone arches, also with a 15-meter aperture width available.

After commissioning of the bridge of the vertices and cracks were observed at the two vaults adjacent to the main opening cuts and movements of the shore piers measured in the direction of the truss bridge. Cause was the caused of the vaults horizontally acting thrust on the 60 meter high pillar banks. To ensure sufficient stability therefore 1921 lever device on the sliding bearings of the truss bridge was built, which allows recording and forwarding the vault thrust. In 1982, the bridge was a major overhaul.
