Egor Mikhailov

Yegor Borisovich Mikhailov (Russian Егор Борисович Михайлов; born July 23, 1978 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player, who was last at Amur Khabarovsk in the Kontinental Hockey League contract. His father Boris was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Yegor Mikhailov began his career as a hockey player in his youth by SKA St. Petersburg, for the first team, he was active in the Russian Super League from 1994 to 1996. He then played one year for the Spokane Chiefs in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League, before returning for another season to Saint Petersburg. It was followed by three years at HK CSKA Moscow, he left before the 2001/ 02 season, when he joined the Russian champions HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk joined. In the summer of 2003, the attackers returned again to St. Petersburg, with whom he consecutive missed the playoffs twice. Following the 2004/ 05 season Mikhailov was committed by the reigning champions HK Dynamo Moscow, with whom he 2006 single title in his career reached, as he looks at his team in the final of the IIHF European Champions Cup against Kärpät Oulu in the Finnish SM - liiga prevailed. Over the 2006/07 season the winger moved to his former club HK CSKA Moscow, which he, however, at the end of the season left again. From 2007 to 2009 he played for Metallurg Novokuznetsk, first in the Super League and in the 2008/09 season in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League.

For the season 2009/10, Mikhailov was obliged by HK CSKA Moscow. After one and a half years he moved in January 2011 within the KHL to city neighbors HK Spartak Moscow, for which he attended until 2012 55 KHL games. In May 2012, he received a contract with Amur Khabarovsk, but this was resolved just before the season starts.
