Eidsivating

The Eidsivathing was in the Middle Ages one of the four regional thinge in Norway. The Thing gatherings were at Eidsvoll, northeast of Oslo, held.

In the early days Eidsivathing was the People's Assembly and the court for the population around the lake Mjøsa. The area of ​​responsibility of the Thing included later Raumafylke ( Romerike ) Heinafylke ( Hedmark ) and Hadafylke ( Hadeland ), later also Østerdalen and Gudbrandsdalen.
