El Huecú

El Huecú is the capital of the department Ñorquín in Neuquén Province in southwestern Argentina. The place belongs in the classification of municipalities in the province of Neuquén to the communities of the third category.

History

Picún Leufú derived from the Mapudungun language of the Mapuche, meaning evil spirit. The town was founded on 1 February 1933.
