In the administration of Community Elbe- Ehle Nuthe of the district of Anhalt- Bitterfeld, 21 municipalities were ( including a city) joined forces to do their administrative business. The VG was formed on 1 January 2005 from the defunct administrative Communities Loburg, Vorfläming and Zerbst country. The administrative headquarters was located in the city of Zerbst, who was not himself a member of the VG. On 1 January 2010, the Management Community Elbe- Ehle Nuthe was dissolved. All 21 municipalities have joined the unified community Zerbst / Anhalt.

Geography

With 24 inhabitants per km ², the Ehle - Nuthe area is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Germany.

The area of the administrative community extended - as is evident from the name - over the basins of the three rivers. Due to the resignation of seven municipalities on 1 July 2007, Ehle was now lying outside the administrative community. The same was the southwest border of the VG to Salzlandkreis. The three source rivers of the Nuthe (northern, central and southern Nuthe ) were until the unification almost completely in the region of the joint management, as well as the running of the Nuthe of Zerbst to the mouth of the Elbe. In the northeast, bordering the territory of the VG to Brandenburg, on the east by the district of Wittenberg and in the southeast the city of Dessau.

From northeast to southwest the terrain of the High Flaming falls ( Gorrenberge 179 meters above sea level. NHN ) over the Vorfläming to the Elbe Valley ( about 50 m above sea level. NN ) gradually.
