Eldama Ravine

Eldama Ravine is a town with about 32,000 inhabitants in the Rift Valley Province in Kenya.

The city was founded in 1887. During the British colonial period, the city was called Shimoni. In 1992 the city was appointed Town council. 1979 lived nearly 4,000 people in Eldama Ravine, in 1999 the population had grown to 10,500 people in 2008, the population was estimated at over 32,000.
