Eleanor H. Porter
Eleanor Hodgman Porter ( born December 19, 1868 in Littleton, New Hampshire, USA, † May 21 1920 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States) was an American children 's and teen book author. Eleanor H. Porter's most famous children's book was published in 1913 novel Pollyanna, which two years later, the sequel Pollyanna grows up followed. The two children's books are still very popular in the United States and are the only previous works Porters ' who were transferred in German language.
