Elfje Willemsen

Elfje Willemsen (born 11 January 1985 in Turnhout ) is a Belgian Bobsportlerin and Olympian.

Career in bobsleigh

Willemsen was first athlete who specialized in the javelin. Since 2005, she turned to bobsledding and was included in the national squad in 2007. Together with the brakeman Eva Willemarck was Willemsen at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver 2010 14 With their new brakeman Hanna Marien she could win the 19th place at the World Cup 2013. At the European Championships in 2014, the duo finished fourth. In the World Cup 2013, it occupied the tenth place.

Willemsen and Marien are the only Belgian participants at the Olympic Games in Sochi in the discipline Bob.
