Eliezer Cohen

Eliezer Cohen (Hebrew אליעזר כהן; born June 18, 1934 in Jerusalem) is an Israeli politician of the party Jisra'el Beiteinu is part of the right-wing National Union party alliance. From 1999 to 2006 Cohen was a member of the Knesset. At the elections of 2006 he was no longer up. He was a member of the Committees on Constitution, Law and Justice, for women's rights, science and technology and for water supply.

A study at the University of Tel Aviv, he graduated with a Master of Arts, and later became a pilot and commander of the Israeli Air Force. In 1974 he went as a colonel in retirement. Between 1977 and 1978 he was a member of the Democratic Movement for Change, a short-lived small party in which former members of Likud, the Labour Party and other parties merged. In 1990 he published a book on the history of the Israeli Air Force, titled The Sky is Not the Limit. The book was published later in the U.S., UK and China.
