Elio Bartolini

Elio Bartolini ( born April 20, 1922 in Conegliano, † April 30, 2006 in Santa Marizza, varmo ) was an Italian writer, screenwriter and film director.

Life

Bartolini spent his childhood in Codroipo and studied for his education literature and philosophy at Padua. During the Second World War, in which he fought on the side of Friulian partisans and was honored, he wrote his first stories.

1950 moved to Milan Bartolini and now published by Mondadori; his first work was awarded several times and translated into Portuguese. 1955 La bellezza d' Ippolita was also successful, learned over the years through several editions, several translations and was filmed. This was followed by a successful collaboration with director Michelangelo Antonioni, the Bartolini wrote three screenplays; further work for the film followed. Until 1965, he wrote about ten screenplays and was next represented mainly with essays and columns in journals. For the stage he wrote plays.

In 1963 he turned to novels; its most successful in the following decades were Pontificale in San Marco (1978 ), La linea dell'ariduca (1980) and Racconti catolici (1990). He was also active as a biographer few times.

In 1975 he wrote and directed the feature film L' altro Dio, an analysis of the family in contemporary industrial society.
