Biography
Childhood
Pompeo grew up in New York's Upper West Side. Later she moved to Miami, where she worked as a waitress. Her grandfather comes from Gesualdo, a village in the Italian province of Avellino. Her mother died when Pompeo was four years old. She was approached by an agent in a bar in New York at work, whether they would like to do commercial work in 1996. So she came to appearances in commercials for Citibank, among others, and L' Oréal.
Career
Determined to start a successful acting career, she moved to Los Angeles in 2001.
