Eloise Jarvis McGraw

Eloise Jarvis McGraw, born in Hamilton ( born December 9, 1915 in Houston, Texas, † November 30, 2000 in Portland, Oregon) was an American children's book author.

McGraw wrote many books and won several times the " Newberry honor" prize for children's books. She sat with her daughter Lauren Lynn McGraw ( Lauren McGraw Wagner, 1944), the " Oz " series of books by L. Frank Baum continued.

She was married in 1940 to William Corbin McGraw, who also wrote children's books under the name of William Corbin. From this marriage two children were born. McGraw died in November 2000 from cancer.
