Elsa Zylberstein

Elsa Zylberstein ( born October 16, 1968 in Paris) is a French actress.

Life

Elsa Zylbersteins father is the Jewish-Polish physicist Albert Zylberstein. Her mother is Catholic. After the Baccalauréat, she began to study English, but at the same time attended the Cours Florent under Francis Huster.

Her breakthrough as an actress in 1991 with Maurice Pialat had Zylberstein film Van Gogh, which earned her a nomination for a César. In 1993 she was awarded the Romy Schneider Award for talented French actresses. Since then, she has appeared in nearly 50 movies and television films. In 2009 she received for the part of Philippe Claudel's drama Léa in so many years I love you the César for Best Supporting Actress.
