Embraer EMB 110 Bandeirante

The Embraer EMB 110 Bandeirante (→ Bandeirantes ) is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. It is designed for regional traffic.

History

The development of the machine launched in 1965 under the project name IPD - 6504 under the direction of Major Ozires Silva, assisted by the French aircraft designer Max Holste on IPD (Instituto de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento ). The first flight of more imaginary than YC -95 and the machine known as a small transport aircraft for the military machine took place on 22 October 1968. The first production aircraft flew the passenger version in 1972 for the first time. By the end of production in May 1990, about 500 copies of the Bandeirante were built in different variants. Many of the aircraft are still in use today, especially in Brazil, Oceania and Canada.
