Emerald Airways

Emerald Airways was a British airline based and based in Liverpool.

History

The airline was founded in 1987 by Andy Janes and his wife Hilary as Janes Aviation Limited. The company started its activity in 1987 at London Southend Airport with the route Blackpool - Belfast with a Britten- Norman BN leased -2 Islander.

The company was renamed Emerald Airways in 1992, the same year the company moved to Liverpool.

In October 2002, she bought the airline Streamline Aviation, based in Exeter. In June 2005, again bought Euromanx the passenger Emerald Airways.

On 4 May 2006 the company was withdrawn by the Civil Aviation Authority, the Air Operator Certificate after a security check, after which it stopped operating.
