Émilie Fer

Émilie Fer ( born February 17, 1983 in Bourg -Saint -Maurice ) is a French canoeist. It was 2012 Olympic champion in canoe slalom.

Émilie Fer's early mother Gaelle Madrange was canoeist and French champion. Émilie came at the age of 12 years on their school to Canoeing. Her first big success was winning the gold medal in the K1 - team competition along with Mathilde PICHERY and Marie Gaspard at the Canoe Slalom World Championships 2006. Fer In individual races won, however long not finished in the top three. As recently as 2009, she won silver behind Elena Kaliska at the Canoe Slalom European Championships 2009. Reached Fer 2012 with second place in La Seu d' Urgell their first podium in a World Cup race.

2008 Émilie Fer was the French participant in the canoe slalom at the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing. After the first final run, she was in second place, but in the second Run Fer had a goal and fell back to seventh place.

For the canoe slalom competition at the Olympic Games 2012, Émilie Fer could again secure the only French grid. After tenth place in the qualification and third place in the semifinals the Frenchwoman in the only final round shot clean.
