Emilio Alonso Larrazábal

Emilio Alonso Larrazábal ( born May 25, 1912 in Getxo, Vizcaya, † after 1942 ), also known by the nickname EMILIN, was a Spanish football player at the position of the striker.

Life

Alonso began his footballer career in 1929 in rows his home club Arenas and moved in 1933 to the current Spanish champions the past two years, Real Madrid. " EMILIN " was from the beginning an important part of the " Royal ", with which he was runner-up in the three consecutive seasons between 1933/34 and 1935 /36 and twice (1934 and 1936), the Copa del Rey won.

With the Spanish Civil War in 1936 erupting organized football came to a halt in Spain and the Basque native joined the Basque national team, the 1937 world tour began and in the season 1938/39, on CD Euskadi participated in the Mexican League.

With the end of the Spanish Civil War, the Basque football team moved back in 1939 from the Mexican league and the players either went back to their homes or stayed in Mexico or changed to Argentina. EMILIN remained for some years in Latin America, where he first played for the Argentine giants San Lorenzo. Then he returned to Mexico and played for the Real Club España, with whom he played the cup final of the season 1940/41, against the " Spanish " archrival Asturias. Because the discharged on May 18, 1941 game ended 2-2 after extra time and to determine the Cup Winner's another game would have been necessary to the Españistas not competed, Asturias was declared the winner at the green table.
