Emma Georgina Rothschild

Emma Rothschild ( born May 16, 1948 in London, England ) is a British business historian. She is since 2008 Jeremy and Jane Knowles Professor of History at Harvard University in Cambridge (Massachusetts ).

Life

In 1967 she completed her studies in philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford University with a Bachelor of Arts. She graduated in 1968 as a Kennedy Scholar at MIT economics. In 1970, she received the Master of Arts.

Rothschild is married with Amartya Sen since 1991.
