Emmanuel Ekpo

Emmanuel Ekpo ( born December 20, 1987 in Ekori ) is a Nigerian football player. The midfielder is at Columbus Crew since 2008 under contract

Career

Ekpo played on the youth academy of Calabar Rovers. 2006/ 07 he played for Akwa United in the Nigerian Premier League, season 2007/ 08 he joined Enyimba FC.

Early 2008, trained in preparation for some time at MLS side Columbus Crew and returned in March back to Nigeria to play along at the crucial Olympic qualifier against South Africa. In April Ekpo signed a professional contract with Columbus.

Ekpo was in the Nigerian Olympic squad for the Olympic football tournament in China in 2008 and won the silver medal with this.
