Empress Quan Huijie

Empress Quan (全 皇后), birth name probably Huijie Quan (全 惠 解), was an empress of the Wu Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms. Her husband, Sun Liang was the second emperor of Wu.

Her father Shang Quan (全 尚) was the nephew of senior officials Quan Cong (全 琮), who had married Sun Dahu (孙大虎), a daughter of the first Wu Emperor Sun Quan. In her youth she attended Princess Dahu often and enjoyed their sympathy. Princess Dahu prompted that she was married to Sun Quan's youngest son Sun Liang. Later she was able to convince Sun Quan, Sun Liang to become the Crown Prince, which Ms. Quan ascended to the Crown Princess. Shortly after Sun Liang was his father succeeded as Emperor 252, he raised it to the Empress.

When Sun Liang 258 was wroth with the disability and the imperious demeanor of the regent Sun Lin, he conspired with Princess Dahu, Quan Shang and Quan Ji (全 纪), the brother of the Empress to overthrow Sun Lin. Quan Shang's wife but Sun Lin's cousin was and told him everything. When Sun Lin surrounded the palace with troops and Sun Liang pressured, Quan Ji committed suicide. Sun Lin Sun Liang dispatches and appointed him Prince of Kuaiji. Empress Quan received the same title. Her father Quan Shang was exiled and murdered in exile, while her family was sent to Ling Ling (零陵, in present-day Yongzhou, Henan). 260 degraded the new emperor Sun Xiu Sun Liang to the Marquis of Houguan (候 官, in present-day Fuzhou, Fujian), and on the way there died Sun Liang. The previous Empress Quan, now Marquess of Houguan, settled in Houguan and died there 301-303, long after the destruction of the Wu dynasty by the Jin Dynasty.
