ENAER T-35 Pillán

The ENAER T-35 Pillán is a single-engine training aircraft of the Chilean aircraft manufacturer ENAER.

History

1981, even before the actual founding of the ENAER, you had the development of this military training aircraft for the Chilean Air Force ( FACH) in IndAer, an organization founded in 1980, the Air Force, completed. Target was a small and very agile single-engine trainer, who should also be aerobatic. The T -35 was designed two-seater.

The T-35 was designed primarily for Pillán start and instrument training. It quickly became apparent that the T -35 performed its requirements in an excellent manner, and that the aircraft in South America and Spain did sell very well.

After the founding of ENAER 1984 started off in 1985 with the export of 41 kits T -35C to the Spanish Air Force, which designated the pattern as " E.26 Tamiz ". The machines were installed at CASA. The ENAER T-35 Pillán was a very successful export model and was until 1991 exported to many South and Central American countries. These countries include Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic.

The Chilean Air Force to replace their old training aircraft Beechcraft T- 34 Mentor by the more modern ENAER T-35 Pillán. The delivery to the Air Force was completed in 1990.
