Endogonales
The Endogonales are a small order of fungi.
The Endogonales are filamentous fungi that do not form septa. In older mycelia septa may occur. The zygospores are formed underground, and have applied suspensors. The thus resulting fruiting bodies are shaped nodules and to hazelnut size.
The Endogonales live underground and form ectomycorrhizae, or they live saprobiontisch.
System
The Endogonales were previously performed as part of Jochpilze. 2007, they were placed in the subdivision Mucoromycotina.
