Enemy of the Sun (band)

Enemy of the Sun is a German metal band.

History

The band was founded in 2006. It was named after the eponymous album of the band Neurosis from the year 1993. Most well-known member is Waldemar Sorychta that was active before with bands like Despair, Grip Inc. and Voodoocult and as a music producer made ​​a name in the 1990s. Sorychta is currently also a member of Eyes of Eden. The bassist Alla Fedynich was live bassist for Pain and also a member of Eyes of Eden. The Finnish singer Jules Neväri and drummer Daniel Zeman have previously played with lesser known bands. In early 2007 the band recorded a demo, which was awarded both the Rock Hard and Metal Hammer from the " demo of the month ". In June 2007, the band played in Hamburg opening for Megadeth.

Produced by Waldemar Sorychta debut album Shadows was released on 7 December 2007, and was crowned Rock Hard "Album of the Month". In summer 2008 the band as part of the Wacken Open Air, the With Full Force, and the Summer Breeze festival has occurred. On 28 May 2010 the successor album " Caedium " also appeared with Massacre Records.
