Energia Kemerovo

Energia Kemerovo (Russian Энергия Кемерово ) is a Russian ice hockey club from Kemerovo.

History

The club was founded in 1997 as HK Kemerovo and a year later renamed Energia Kemerovo. Two years later, in the 1999/2000 season Energia Kemerovo first appeared in the qualification for promotion to the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, and was able to prevail against motor Barnaul just in five games, where they are already with 1: 2 were behind in the best- of-five series. In the Kemerovo Wysschaja League itself was represented throughout 2000 to 2007 and failed in his first three years in each case only in the second division final round on promotion to the Super League.

In summer 2007, the club withdrew the men's team from playing, among other things because the venue of the club, the sport and concert complex Oktjabryski, a renovation has been subjected. Since then, the club is only a junior.
