Engleside Hotel

The Engleside Hotel was one of the most elegant hotels in the Victorian era. It stood on the beach in Beach Haven, New Jersey at the southern end of Long Beach Iceland. It was built in the early 1870s by Quakers and quickly became one of the most famous hotels on this island.

The Engleside Hotel experienced in the summer of 1916, while shark attacks on the coast of New Jersey ( 1916) for the first time an economic crisis. The end of the hotel was demolished when the hotel and parts of its equipment was sold during the period of the Second World War.
