Eon Productions

Eon Productions Limited is a British film production company, which was founded in 1961 for the production of the James Bond films of Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, after Saltzman had the Verfilmungs rights from the James Bond author Ian Fleming saved. It is a subsidiary of Danjaq, LLC, which is responsible for the rights to the name " James Bond". Its headquarters is located at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England.

1975 Saltzman sold his share after nine Bond films at United Artists, which act as a distribution company for the Bond films and unwound from then on, the production of the films. After Albert R. Broccoli died in 1996, his daughter Barbara Broccoli took over the business and produces the James Bond films now together with Albert Broccoli's stepson Michael G. Wilson.

Eon produces the Bond films. Only in 1963 was made with the film Bob on safari an exception.

Supposedly Eon stands for " Everything or Nothing" ( German: all or nothing ), although Albert R. Broccoli has always denied this.
