Epic Mickey

Epic Mickey, released in the U.S. as Epic Mickey, is a computer game of the Mickey Mouse franchise for the Wii gaming console. It was developed by Junction Point Studios, headed by Warren Spector and released on November 26, 2010.

Description

The sorcerer Yen Sid has created a comic book world for forgotten cartoon characters and concepts from the Disney universe, the so-called Wasteland. But in the absence of the Sorcerer Mickey accidentally creates the so-called shadow phantom, which is now threatened with the mad doctor ( Mad Doctor) the Wasteland. Mickey must therefore travel in this world, to repair them with the help of a magic brush, which is controlled using the Wii Remote. The game is kept much darker compared to other Disney games, as game environment, for example, serve discarded rides and a run-down amusement park, reminiscent of Disneyland. For the first time since 1943 occurs the comic or cartoon character Oswald the Lucky Rabbit - a predecessor of Mickey Mouse, Disney whose rights had regained only in 2007 - again in a Disney production.

The game received average reviews, with Metacritic, the game holds a value of 73 /100. Epic Mickey was awarded by the computer game online IGN in 2010 as the best Wii game of Gamescom.

In November 2012 appeared with Epic Mickey: The Power of 2 ( Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two), a successor for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and Wii U and with Epic Mickey: Power of Fantasy ( Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion ) an offshoot for Nintendo 3DS.
