Erci E

Erci Ergün (* 1973 in Berlin) is a musician, producer and radio host. He was a member of the mid-1990s style- music group Cartel.

In the Turkish-language hip- hop band, he appeared under the name E. Erci after serving as a rapper previously had its own Turkish-language project under this name. After the success Cartels in Turkey ( Platinum Award ) and the following (intended) separation occurred Ergün continue as a solo artist in appearance, rapping now partly German ( Because I am a Turk, 1999) had, but with the Turkish-speaking albums Sohbet (1997) and I Arabama (2004) turn to greater success in the home of his parents.

1998/1999 took Erci E with two colleagues at the Peter Maffay project "Encounters " part. It was recorded and released a joint song with Maffay Peter Maffay ' la Cartel. The accompanying video was taken in Berlin and Istanbul. The unifying project took place in a large communal Germany tour its peak. The project "Encounters " was awarded a platinum plate.

At 33, he decided to move to Turkey, but lives since 2007 in Berlin: "Home is for me Germany and Berlin in the first place. I was born and grew up. I belong here, " the musician said in a newspaper interview at the moment.

In 1994, Ergün part in the German version of MTV's The Real World format, which means " True Life " in Berlin was entitled and was broadcast unencrypted on Premiere.

In addition, Ergün as a radio presenter on Kiss FM, Radio multicultural and Fritz worked. From 2009 Ergün can be heard regularly on YOU FM from the Hessischer Rundfunk.
