Eric Canuel
Eric Canuel (* 1964; sometimes Erik Canuel and Érik Canuel ) is a Canadian film director.
Life and achievements
Through his family he had at a young age contact the theater. His father was the actor Yvan Canuel ( 1935-1999 ). His brother, Nicolas Canuel, is also an actor. Eric Canuel studied at Concordia University. From 1992, he created in the Montreal television advertising company Cinélande over 200 television commercials and 50 music videos. He also directs in television series and movies.
In 2000, Canuel won a Genie Award for short documentary Hemingway: A Portrait. In 2007 he was nominated at the 27th Genie Awards for his direction in Bon Cop, Bad Cop. In this action-comedy Patrick Huard and Colm Feore are seen as police officers who identify in a series of murders.
Canuel has three children.
