Eric Harding

Eric Harding ( born December 20, 1972 in Philadelphia ) is an American boxer.

Southpaw Harding began with 13 years in boxing and achieved a score of 78-6. He won several local tournaments in Pennsylvania.

He became professional in 1991, not boxed after his first two fights and a half years. He was repeatedly in prison, two shot and three stab wounds. In 1997 he added to his first defeat Kabary Saleem, 1998, he hit Montell Griffin, however, was on the ground. In 2000, he also defeated the undefeated amateur world champion Antonio Tarver.

That earned him a World Championship fight with Roy Jones in the but he had no chance and lost in the 10th round.

It was his only title shot. In 2001 he defeated the undefeated George Jones, in the rematch with Tarver in 2002, he went heavily KO. In 2003 he was defeated Glen Johnson, after victories over David Telesco and the unbeaten Dan Judah he lost against the unbeaten Chad Dawson on points.
