Eric Rogers (composer)

Eric Rogers ( born September 25, 1921 in Halifax, † April 8, 1981 in Chalfont St Peter ) was a British composer, conductor and arranger.

Life

Rogers shows as a child with an interest in music and learned how to play in the church organ. After the Second World War, he founded his own orchestra they played in the Orchid Room at the London Trocadero. As his fame grew, he got many offers as musical director for films legwork. He worked with several Carry On films and in 1966 was musical director for the classic comedy Carry on - Just do not lose your head.
