Erich Berko

Erich Berko ( born September 6, 1994 in Ostfildern -Ruit ) is a German football player with Ghanaian roots.

Career

Association

In youth Berko played for Stuttgarter Kickers. He moved in 2006 to the youth department of the VfB Stuttgart.

Berko was still as U-19 players on January 28, 2012 Round 23 of the 2011/12 season for the second team of VfB Stuttgart in the 3rd professional league against FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt his professional debut. On his 18th birthday he suffered during training with the Bundesliga team VfB a cruciate ligament tear of the anterior band of his left knee.

7 May 2013 Berko signed a dated until the end of June 2015 License player contract at VfB Stuttgart.

National

Erich Berko debuted on 10 June 2009 for the German U-15 national team in a 3-0 win against Poland and thereby put a gate in front. For the U-16 national team of Germany Berko graduated 14 August 2009 against Switzerland, his first game. Against Egypt, he played on 10 November 2010 for the first time the German U-17 national team. In the U-17 European Championship 2011, he was Vice-European Champion with Germany and completed during the tournament four bets.
