Eriphyle

Eriphyle (Greek Ἐριφύλη ) In Greek mythology, the daughter of Talaus and Lysimache and the wife of the seer Amphiaraus. She is the mother of two sons, Alcmaeon and Amphilochus, and two daughters, Demonassa and Eurydice.

Eriphyle persuaded her husband to take part in the guided by her brother Adrastus train of the Seven against Thebes, after having been bribed by Polynices with the necklace of Harmonia. In this campaign Amphiaraus was killed. After her son had found Alkmaion that his father had taken part in the battle because Eriphyle, he murdered her.
