Erle C. Kenton

Erle C. Kenton ( born August 1, 1896 in Norboro, Montana, † January 28, 1980 in Glendale, California ) was an American film director.

Life

Kenton began his career in the film business mid- 1910s as an actor and director of short films. From the mid- 1920s he produced longer films. Kenton turned comedies, dramas and horror and war movies and westerns. In the 1950s he worked mainly for television and directed episodes of series such as The Texan. For this he also wrote several screenplays. Overall, he was involved in the course of his career at 140 productions.

Kenton died in 1980 at the consequences of an illness and is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in California.
