Ernest Dickerson
Ernest Roscoe Dickerson ( born June 25, 1951 in Newark, New Jersey) is an American cinematographer and director.
Life
Ernest Dickerson studied at Howard University in Washington, DC.
His career in the film business he started in 1983 as a cameraman for the director Spike Lee. The two worked about a decade together, their last film together is Malcolm X from 1992. During the same year Ernest Dickerson made his debut as a feature film director with Juice, the only time also wrote the screenplay for. Dickerson is also active for television, he has directed several episodes of the series The Wire, Dexter and The Walking Dead.
Ernest Roscoe Dickerson is the father of five children.
