Ernst Feuz

Ernst Feuz (* 1908 in Mürren, † 1988) was a Swiss ski jumper, nordic combined and ski racer.

Ernst Feuz began his career as a ski jumper and combiners and belonged to his playing days with Stefan Lauener of the most successful Swiss ski jumpers. For the first time internationally successful he was at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1927 in Cortina d' Ampezzo. In jumping on the big hill he finished fourth and missed so only just a medal. At the Olympic Winter Games in 1928 in St. Moritz Feuz reached the 8th place in jumping on the normal hill.

In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1931 in Mürren he was first attempted as a ski racer and finished at the end of the descent the 4th Place. Two years later he joined in parallel at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1933 and at the Alpine World Skiing Championships 1933, held in Innsbruck about the same time, to. In the slalom competition at the Alpine Ski World Championship, he reached the 6th place in the combiners during the Nordic World Ski Championships he came in fifth in the individual competition. It was his last internationalern competitions.

Professionally, he was after completing apprenticeship in banking from 1939 at the New Warehouse AG ( EPA) operates since 1947 as a director. He is considered the initiator of the Schilthorn cable car.
