Ernst-Marcus Thomas
Ernst- Marcus Thomas ( born March 23, 1973 in Delmenhorst ) is a German television presenter and journalist.
Career
Already during his school years in Wilhelmshaven he took elocution lessons and worked during the holidays as an intern at various radio stations such as Radio Hamburg and OK radio. After high school, a two-year internship at the newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine, and he studied at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University in Munich (theater studies, ethnology and psychology ), from which he graduated with the degree of Master of Arts. While studying EMT worked - as Thomas is also known - as a speaker and radio presenter.
After working at the Bayerischer Rundfunk ( news ) and with Popwellen hr3 and NDR 2, the first television commitment to Baden -Baden led him at that SWF ( Philipps animal hour). It was followed by other productions in the SWR television and in the ARD. For the Hessischer Rundfunk, he hosted two years the travel magazine like nothing out.
By April 2008, Thomas moderated the First, the ARD-Buffet and the NDR the knowledge magazine Plietsch. In the NDR Talkshow Thomas jumped as moderation representation of Jörg Pilawa. In the ARD series The Commissioner and in the soap Marienhof he also had several guest roles as an actor.
In 2004, Ernst - Marcus Thomas met in Cologne on Rudi Carrell. On the open road Thomas jumped out of the cab to make contact with Carrell. The action was so unusual that the story in the official biography Carrell Rudi Carrell: A life ended for the show.
Began in 2006 Ernst- Marcus Thomas as a talk show host at the Swiss private broadcaster Star TV in Zurich. For the shipment EMT -Talk he interviewed prominent Swiss. From 2007 to 2009, Thomas was also editor in chief of the transmitter. In May 2008, Thomas took over the moderation of the ZDF television garden of Andrea Kiewel. This was on leave because of allegations of surreptitious advertising. In May 2009 Andrea Kiewel returned to the television garden.
Ernst- Marcus Thomas now works as a media and communications trainer and lecturer in journalism education, including at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences ( ZHAW ) and the ARD.ZDF.Medienakademie. From the first broadcast from 2009 to 2012, he was also coach of the Swiss moderation Sports Television SSF.
In July 2012, Thomas took over the moderation of the scripted talk show Ernst- Marcus Thomas - The Talk on Sat.1. After a 14-day test run with ten episodes, the last episode was aired on 3 August 2012.
2013 Thomas played a guest role in the ARD series " Schimanski ".
