Errol Fuller

Errol Fuller ( born June 19, 1947 in Blackpool, Lancashire ) is a British author and draftsman, who mainly deals with extinct animals.

Life and work

Fuller is the son of Errol Fuller Sr., who was born in 1921 in Calcutta, India in 1986 and died in London. He grew up in south London and went to the Addey and Stanhope School.

In 1987, the publisher Penguin Books Fuller's first work Extinct Birds, a continuation of Walter Rothschild in 1907 published book of the same name. Miriam Rothschild wrote to the preface and in 2000 published by Oxford University Press, second revised edition. 1990 in collaboration with the New Zealand artist Raymond Ching, the book was published Kiwis. 1995 work, The Lost Birds of Paradise Birds of Paradise and followed over their hybrids. 1999, he published The Great Auk on the Great Auk and in 2002 Dodo - From Extinction to Icon. In the same year Fuller wrote for the seventh volume Jacamars to Woodpeckers of the Handbook of the Birds of the World an introductory essay in the new times of extinct bird species. 2004 Catalogue Lost Worlds was. National Council for Culture, Arts and Heritage, Doha, Qatar published in two languages, English and Arabic. 2010 published a book about the engraver Hedley Fitton ( 1857-1929 )

Even for the British television Fuller presented as an expert available. So he turned Julian Pender Hume in 2001 with the great auk sequence from the series Extinct. 2007 also followed with Hume and Edward O. Wilson, the documentary The Dodo's Guide to Surviving Extinction and in 2010 he appeared in an episode of the BBC series The One Show with.

In his own drawings, Fuller devotes lots of sports events, including boxing and snooker.
