Eruption was a popular disco and R & B band of the late 1970s and 1980s.

Band History

" Eruptions Big G " aka Greg Perrineau founded the band in London in 1969 initially as a school band called "Silent Eruption ". The band members were next to the founder (guitar) Morgan Perrineau ( bass) Gerry Williams (keyboards), Lindell Leslie (lead vocals) and Eric Kingsley (drums). They appeared in numerous London clubs. Greg Perrineau shortened the name of his band on " Eruption ". Precious Wilson came in 1974 as a backing singer to do so. This year, the young band with Lindell Leslie became the lead singer of the "RCA Soul Search Contest" and brought their first single Let Me Take You Back in Time in circulation. After Precious Wilson Lindell Leslie took over from as the lead singer.

1977 joined the band only as a backing band and opening act for Boney M on, Frank Farian later produced the band at Hansa Records in Berlin.
