Erwin van de Looi

Erwin van de Looi ( born February 25, 1972 in Huissen ) is a former Dutch football player and coach.

Playing career

With the football games van de Looi began in his hometown when RKHVV Huissen and moved to the youth of Vitesse Arnhem later. After one season with the Dutch second division BVV Den Bosch he returned to Vitesse Arnhem and completed over 100 games in the jersey of Vitesse. In 1997, then he moved to league rivals NAC Breda. During the winter break of the season 1999/2000 van de Looi went to Germany to the Stuttgart Kickers. However, he returned an end of the season to the Netherlands and ended his playing career after an injury at FC Groningen.

Coaching career

After coaching job in junior and amateur FC Groningen van de Looi was promoted at the beginning of the 2013/14 season from assistant coach to head coach of the first team of FC Groningen.
