Lorenzo Burnet

Lorenzo Burnet ( born January 11, 1991 Amsterdam, North Holland ) is a Dutch football player. In the 2012/13 season he is at FC Groningen under contract.

Career

Burnet came from the youth of the A.V.V. Zeeburgia from his home city of Amsterdam as a 13 -year-old for AFC Ajax. As a full-back on the left side, he had noticed the talent scouts of the top clubs. For Ajax the 1.70 meter small defender went through the other youth teams and has been called several times in youth national teams. In youth coach Frank de Boer, he was given the opportunity to develop in the A- youth on; in the season 2010/11 he was appointed to the second team Jong Ajax, where he delivered a competition with Nicolai Boilesen to the position of left-back. In his 22 appearances for Ajax Jong, he scored two goals. While Boilesen was still recorded during the 2010/11 season in the cadre of Eredivisie team of Ajax, moved Burnet - whose contract expired at season's end - to 2011/ 12 for FC Groningen. Here he made his debut on the opening day in the highest league and took the position of the migrated Fredrik Stenman on the left wing in the next few games a.
